About
Established in 2002, Coretrait
believes that the one true asset that differentiates and
creates competitive advantage is people. Our mission
is to provide:
- Unparalleled Client Service and Satisfaction.
- Superior solutions that help clients identify, attract, retain,
and develop the best people.
- Assist clients in creating an environment where every employee
is valued and challenged to
continually improve in order to fulfill their true potential.
The right people
in the right jobs are an organization's most valuable
asset.
Colin Pitcairn founded Coretrait
after a 22 year career selling information technology
solutions to Fortune 1000 clients and the United States Army. The
majority of those years were spent at IBM, where he spent 3
years
teaching consultative selling skills at IBM's Marketing Education
organization located in Atlanta, GA. It was there that
his interest in organizational effectiveness - people, performance,
and helping individuals excel was sparked. While skills can be
taught and are a critical link in the chain, ultimately a
deciding factor
in determining an individual's success begins with proper job fit.
Similarly, an organization's success hinges on it's ability
to identify, attract, and retain top talent. This is one of the
last un-tapped areas for competitive advantage - improving an organization's
ability to select, develop, and keep great talent.
Most recently, he served as Manager of Learning & Development for Saudi Oger, Ltd., a large construction company headquartered in Riyadh, KSA. Tasked with building a Learning & Development organization that consolidated disparate training functions across the company, he implemented a first-of-its-kind Management Development program, performed a corporate-wide Needs Analysis, and developed a training plan in support of the Talent Management Strategic Plan.
He graduated with a BA in Politics from Wake
Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Originally from
Portland, Oregon, he currently resides in Rockville, Maryland
where he enjoys
spending time with his family, playing golf,
and managing the Pitcairn Heritage Society website, among other interests.
